Leaf

I like to look at textures of surfaces. Here are two studies of leafs in watercolor and pen. Getting details is complicated in watercolor so it's an on going practice for me.

Brick

I like drawing and painting walls of buildings. Here is a study I did of brick. I like the inconsistency of each brick. It feels easy to draw when the brick does not have to be perfect.

Organic Surfaces

Organic surfaces are my favorite to draw or paint. It means that you can make mistakes and no one will know. Fruit, leather, flowers, leaves, etc. all have surfaces that are fun to create and bring to life.
